Features

A Takeaway Channel You Actually Own

Same menu, same kitchen display, same till. One new way for customers to buy from you.

Delivery & Collection

Offer either or both. Each gets its own hours, slot limits and minimum order, and collection never carries a delivery fee.

ASAP or a Time Slot

Guests grab the next available slot or book ahead for tonight. Per-slot caps stop twenty orders landing on the kitchen at 7pm.

Delivery Radius & Fees

Set how far you'll drive and what it costs. Flat fee, free over a threshold, and every address checked against your radius at checkout.

Paid Online or on Handover

Take card payment online through your own Stripe or Square, or let customers pay when they collect or the driver knocks.

Fires Itself to the Kitchen

A 7:30 order sits quietly until prep time, then appears on the kitchen display automatically. Nobody has to remember it.

Discount Codes

Run promos for quiet nights. Codes and automatic discounts apply to delivery and collection, off the food, never the fee.

The Guest Experience

Order in a Few Taps.
No App, No Account.

Customers browse the same menu your tables see, with photos, modifiers and sold-out items handled for you. Checkout takes a name, a phone number and an address for delivery. That's the whole thing.

Your real menu
The same catalogue as table ordering and the POS. Change a price once and it updates everywhere.
Modifiers that matter
Extra cheese, no onions, gluten-free base. Required choices and per-option prices all carry through.
ASAP or scheduled
Guests see the next available slot or pick a time later in the week, shown in your venue's timezone.
Live order tracking
A status page shows accepted, in the kitchen and out for delivery, so nobody rings to ask where their food is.
Online Ordering settings page with slot intervals, order caps, delivery fee and radius controls
Slots, Fees & Zones

Friday Rush,
Under Your Control.

You decide how many orders each slot can take, how much notice you need and how far you'll deliver. The rules are enforced at checkout, not by a stressed manager with a phone in each hand.

Caps per slot
Limit delivery and collection orders separately for every slot. Full slots disappear from the picker.
Lead times built in
Set how much notice you need and how long prep takes, so ASAP means as soon as you reasonably can.
A delivery boundary that holds
Set a radius from your venue. Addresses outside it are turned away at checkout, before payment.
A pause button
Kitchen underwater? Pause new online orders from the POS header without touching dine-in or table ordering.

Kitchen Timing

The 7:30 Order
Fires at 7:10.

Scheduled orders don't sit on the kitchen screen all afternoon getting in the way. Each one holds quietly until its promised time minus your prep lead, then releases itself.

Hidden until due
Future orders never clutter the kitchen display. Only what's due now is on screen.
Badged on the board
Delivery and collection cards carry a badge and the promised time, with the address and phone number one tap away.
Dockets with the details
The printed ticket carries the address, phone number, instructions and whether it's paid or collect-on-handover.
Abandoned checkouts free the slot
If a customer starts paying and vanishes, the order gives up its slot automatically so someone else can take it.

Run From the POS

One Rail for
Tonight's Orders.

Online orders live on the POS next to your open sales. Accept, cook, dispatch and complete from the screen your staff already use for everything else.

Accept or reject in one tap
Rejections refund the payment and email the customer automatically. No awkward phone calls.
Track the handover
Mark ready, out for delivery and completed from the POS. Each step can email the customer if you want it to.
Tonight and later
An upcoming strip shows future scheduled orders, so the prep list writes itself before service.
Counted in sales analytics
Delivery and collection get their own channel in sales reporting, with fees, timings and rejections broken out.

FAQ

Online Ordering Questions, Answered

How do customers order delivery or collection?
They order on your own online ordering page, linked from your website or socials. They browse your menu, choose delivery or collection, pick a time slot and check out on their phone. No app download and no account required.
Can customers pay online, or when they receive their order?
Both. Offer online card payment through your own Stripe or Square account, payment on handover, or let the customer choose. Online payments settle into your account like any other BookingNinja payment.
How do I stop too many orders arriving at once?
Set a maximum number of delivery and collection orders per time slot, along with the slot length and how much notice you need. Full slots stop appearing to customers, and a pause switch on the POS stops new orders instantly when the kitchen gets slammed.
When does the kitchen see a scheduled order?
Exactly when it needs to. Each order holds until its promised time minus your prep lead, then releases onto the kitchen display automatically. A 7:30pm collection with a 20-minute lead appears at 7:10, not at 3pm when the customer ordered.
Can I charge a delivery fee or set a minimum order?
Yes. Set a flat delivery fee, optionally waived over a spend threshold, and separate minimum order values for delivery and collection. Collection never carries a delivery fee.
How do I control which areas I deliver to?
Set a maximum delivery distance from your venue. Customer addresses are checked against it at checkout, and anything outside the radius is turned away before payment is taken.
Does online ordering need a separate menu?
No. It shares the same product catalogue as table ordering and the POS. You choose which products are available for delivery and collection, and you can set takeaway-specific prices and VAT rates per item.
What does online ordering cost?
It's included on every BookingNinja plan, including Free Forever at £0 a month, with no per-order fees. Flat monthly pricing, no contracts.
