Two Dates You Have To Work Around.

Verdict Food Service reports that Quandoo takes its last new booking on 30 September 2026 and removes its infrastructure on 31 December 2026, at which point accounts and guest history go offline. Diner loyalty points stopped being earned on 30 June. That timetable makes a replacement compulsory, so the real decision is where your bookings live afterwards.

30 September: The Hard Stop

After that reported date no new covers come through Quandoo. Autumn and Christmas bookings are already being made now, so a live replacement in the summer is the safe play. Ours takes about a day to build.

31 December: The Data Goes

Quandoo's own support team is handling exports while the platform is up. Get your guest file out early. From then on, every booking taken on your own BookingNinja page stays on a list you control, with the contact details and marketing consent attached.

No Rivals At Checkout

Quandoo was a marketplace, so a diner browsing your listing saw other restaurants beside it. Your BookingNinja page sits on your own site and shows one venue.

Regulars Stop Costing Covers

Quandoo charged per cover on bookings that came through its partner network, and a regular on their tenth visit counted the same as a stranger. BookingNinja bills a flat monthly fee, so a busy Saturday costs the same as a quiet Tuesday.

Step By Step.

Most venues leaving Quandoo are doing the same four things. None of it needs to happen in the middle of service, and the build itself is our job rather than yours.

1. Export your guests now
Quandoo support handles data exports while the account is still live. Ask for yours before the December cut-off.
2. We build your venue
Tell us how service runs and we configure sessions, tables, guest types and deposits, usually inside a day.
3. Run the two in parallel
Leave Quandoo taking covers over the summer while your own page beds in. Switch fully when you trust it.
4. Repoint your links
Change the booking button on your site and the link on your Google profile before September, so nobody hits a dead page.

Quandoo gave you real reservation and table management, so losing that is the thing most managers worry about. You do not. Our floor plan is where the whole service is run from: a map of your actual room, colour-coded by who is seated, who is due and who has paid up and gone.

Is Yours.

The uncomfortable part of a shutdown is that the guest database was never really yours to begin with. Bookings on your own BookingNinja page arrive with the diner's details and their marketing consent attached to your account, and nobody sits between the two of you taking a cut.

Rebookings are free
A regular booking a table for the fourth time this year adds nothing to your monthly bill.
Deposits and prepayment
Charge in full, take a deposit or just hold a card against no-shows, set per session and per guest type.
Memberships and gift cards
Sell supper clubs, membership plans and gift cards from the same account your bookings live in.
Order at table
Guests scan the QR on the table, order and pay from their phone, and it lands in the kitchen.

What You Lose By Leaving

We would rather be straight with you than win the wrong customer. Quandoo did two things properly that we make no attempt to copy.

  • Inbound diners. The Quandoo app, its partner network, Reserve with Google and the social integrations put you in front of people who had not chosen a restaurant yet. We do not sell discovery. BookingNinja runs the booking on the channels you already own, so the traffic has to come from your site, your Google listing and your socials.
  • Loyalty points. Diners collected points across the Quandoo network, and there is no equivalent here. Both that programme and the marketplace are being switched off during the wind-down anyway, with points earning already closed since 30 June, so neither is a reason to sit tight.

None of that changes the arithmetic. Quandoo is closing, so this is a move rather than a head to head between two live systems. If marketplace covers were a real part of your week, list with a marketplace that is staying open and keep your direct and repeat bookings on a page you own.

How does the 2 months free offer work?
Tell us you are coming off Quandoo, either when you sign up or on your demo call with Dan, and we take the first 2 months of subscription off. There is no code to hunt down and nothing to prove.
When exactly is Quandoo shutting down?
According to Verdict Food Service, 30 September 2026 is the last day Quandoo takes new bookings, and on 31 December 2026 the infrastructure comes down, taking accounts and guest history with it. Loyalty points stopped being earned on 30 June. Practically, that means a working replacement by late summer and a data export before the end of the year.
Can I move my Quandoo bookings and guests across?
Your existing guest list, yes, via a file. Quandoo's support team runs the export, and we will help you load your regulars in at this end. There is no automatic pipe out of Quandoo, so nothing gets pulled across without you asking for it. New bookings can start landing on your own page while the old system is still running.
Will I be as organised on the night as I was on Quandoo?
That is the right question to ask, and yes. Quandoo had genuine table management and we match it: floor plans, live table statuses through service, automatic assignment, joined tables for big parties, walk-ins and a waitlist. All of it is on every plan rather than a higher tier.
Do I still pay per cover?
No. Quandoo billed a per-cover fee on bookings arriving through its partner network, regulars included. Our pricing is a flat monthly fee with no charge per head, plus the usual card processing costs on any payment you take. A full room does not increase your bill.
Am I giving up discovery traffic?
You are giving it up either way, because the Quandoo marketplace closes with the rest of the platform. We are direct-only and always have been. Most venues in this position are moving their bookings onto a channel they own and, where marketplace covers really mattered, listing separately with someone still trading.
Is there a free plan?
There is. Free Forever costs nothing per month, includes every feature, and covers up to 50 bookings a month that take no payment. Above that line a booking has to carry a payment, and the diner pays a small booking fee at checkout of 2% or 50p, whichever works out higher.
Who am I actually dealing with?
A small UK team that builds the product. We set the venue up for you and you speak to the people writing the code, which counts for something when you are moving house against a fixed date.
