SevenRooms is a serious guest-data platform, sold by quote to hotel groups and multi-site operators. If you run one restaurant or three, the platform is rarely the problem. The price, the onboarding project and the contract length are. BookingNinja publishes its prices, includes everything on every plan, and is running in your venue in about a day.
No credit card required. No contracts. Cancel anytime.
SevenRooms aims at mid-market and enterprise hospitality, and most reviewers put the point where it pays for itself at around ten locations. Below that you are buying a lot of platform, and a sales process to go with it.
The SevenRooms pricing page has three tiers and a Get a Quote button on it, with no figures, no free version and no trial. Ours has numbers: flat monthly, in pounds, no per-cover fees. Work out what it costs before you speak to anyone.
The firms that track SevenRooms quotes report annual and often multi-year terms with a one-off implementation fee on top. We bill monthly. Leave whenever, and there is no project to unwind on the way out.
SevenRooms lists six modules priced separately, including email marketing, event management and API access. Every BookingNinja feature is on every plan, so your bill does not move when you start doing events.
Capterra reviewers keep mentioning how long SevenRooms takes to learn. We build your sessions, tables and deposits with you, hand it over in about a day, and your team picks up the floor plan in a shift.
We are a small UK company and I answer support myself. Some SevenRooms reviewers say the attention thinned out once the platform got big, which is a fair risk with any enterprise vendor.
SevenRooms is the deeper guest platform. This is about what a single site or small group ends up paying for, and how much of it gets used.

SevenRooms does not publish prices, so nothing here is quoted as its price. Contract terms, implementation fees and per-location costs come from third-party analyses of customer-reported quotes and are estimates only. Everything else is from the SevenRooms website and UK review sites as of July 2026; check with them for the current position.
SevenRooms sells depth here: cross-property profiles, dietary preferences, automated campaigns keyed off spend. That is genuinely good, and it earns its money when you have twenty sites and someone whose job is marketing. One venue usually needs something smaller. Who is coming back, what happened last time, and a list you can email at Christmas. BookingNinja keeps that against every booking, and the list belongs to you.
SevenRooms has a floor view and it is a good one. The difference is what it takes to get comfortable with it. BookingNinja opens on a map of your actual room, tables coloured by what they are doing, and most teams stop asking questions after a shift or two.
A children's party priced per child, a tasting menu paid in full up front, a supper club sold by the ticket. BookingNinja is built on sessions and guest types rather than a flat headcount, and the events, deposits and order-at-table side is part of the product instead of a module on the quote.
There is no point pretending otherwise. SevenRooms is a strong platform, and for some operators it is the correct decision.
If you are a group with a marketing function and a budget for it, SevenRooms is probably the better platform. If you are one venue, or three, and you would rather see a price, sign nothing and be live this week, that is the gap we built BookingNinja to sit in.
