While we've had an easy closure system for a while now, your feedback suggested to us we needed to make it easier to access and use. So we've done just that, and while we were hanging out over there, we've added a few new helpful features as well.
Actually Getting There
We've added venue closure back to the main settings bar of the site, making it easier to get there and more obvious for team members without having to search settings. It's still also in the same place in the main setting menu, of course.
The Calendar preview on this page now shows exactly what your public form will look like, and will automatically update when you add or remove a closure.
You can now set a message that appears on your public form when you close for at least one whole day, letting your customers know why they can't book if they hover over the dates, or long press them on mobile.
We've also added a range of icons you can pick from to use in the background rather than just a closed red box, so you can have a Christmas tree icon over your Christmas closures, giving your form a little bit more personality without slowing down bookings for your customers.
We've also cleaned up the page a bit, moved some settings out of the advanced section and made it clearer when you've selected things like staying open for events.
If you're still having issues trying to close and think we could improve this section of the site, I'd love to hear from you directly.
