All of new features this update was requested by our venues!
View SuggestionsThe chat system isn't just for reporting bugs — you can also use it to suggest features, either brand elements or just things that you and your team find more difficult or confusing than you would like.
Not everything is included in the public roadmap yet, and we can't promise we can make every single suggestion a reality, but we always try to pull directly from your feedback when improving the site. We recently replaced our suggestion system with a simpler roadmap where you can view some of our upcoming plans.
You can also vote on existing plans, which helps us determine which features are most in demand.
Now on to the update
New Venue Closures
We've updated the venue closure page. We've not changed any core functions here, but we have converted the page to a calendar system to try and make closures more obvious and more easy to see what's coming up at a glance. This is an ongoing set of tweaks so any feedback is appreciated.
Guest Pickable Duration
If you allow "variable durations" where guests can pick times, you now have much greater control over what slots they see as bookable, including hiding or warning them when a time slot they've picked will not run the full length due to your closing times.
Email Updates
Emails now allow for full formatting, including bullet points, numbered lists and links. You can also now edit subject lines, we've added a list of merge tags you can use to personalise them, and you can set different images per different email group, rather than using just one set.
New Features
Family Tickets: You can now set a guest to "count" more than one guest at once, which means you can create guest types like "Family" where the customer pays once but the capacity increases by 5
Custom Colours on Booking Views: You can now adjust the colours for booking states (Arrived, Pending, etc) the Gantt and List View which may be extra helpful for colourblind users
Session Page Clean Up: We've cleaned up ticketed events on the backend to make it easier to what has sold when handling multiple date events with multiple tickets.
More Control On Payment Messaging: The "Additional information" section on deposits which display on the checkout page now uses a full editor for greater customisation, bold text etc.
Made "Sold Out" Events Clearer: Added a grey, sold out notice on sold out events on booking forms
Made Reserved Tables Clearer: Events with reserved tables now show clearly as table reservations on the Gantt view so you don't have to remember or visit the events settings to check.
Quicker Event Booking: If your event only has one time to pick from, we now skip the time selection stage for customers, making booking simpler (Customers still see the time at the start).
Better Table Ordering: Auto alphabetical table ordering is now much more intelligent and should properly deal with combinations of letters and numbers
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where ticketed events could oversell by several tickets if they sold out
Fixed an issue where certain coupon setups would validate twice, causing them to fail
Customers can longer apply coupons then edit their booking, which in certain cases could allow coupons to apply when they shouldn't
Booking history now properly works on admin bookings again - since the new editor it had only been working on form bookings
Fixed the Enquiry form button loading up a separate, empty page on Chrome at the same time as loading the form
Fixed an issue with embedded gift card checkouts that was stopping certain browsers from continuing
Preorders now function properly on all themes, previously dark themes did not always show pre-order information
Ticketed and Regular Events which are cloned but not given a new date now no longer appear on the public form
Tooltip messages on the calendar on the public form no longer appear underneath other elements
Reserve tables and yield events now currently function alongside each other rather than cancelling each other out
Fixed initial booking messages appearing on session categories even when they are disabled
