Linked Sessions (Show Peak and Off Peak More Naturally)
Linked sessions allow you to take multiple sessions and show them on a single calendar, even if you're using guest types. When a customer picks a day, we'll show them only what's available on that day.
This is most helpful when you want to offer peak and off peak pricing, but are having to have your customers select this up front, and then get confused when it looks like a week has no slots because it's half term, and your pricing has changed.
Waitlists (Gold)
Fully booked? You can now have customers added to a waitlist. If another customer cancels, or you open up more spaces or tables, you can either automatically add them straight to a booking based a variety of rules, or manage them manually.
This is a long awaited feature that we've designed to maximise capacity and reduce the annoyance that comes with those "Last minute, Saturday night" style cancellations.
Marketing Overhaul
We had several bug reports in about the old system and decided it was time to fully refresh the marketing side of things, so there’s new options and a more helpful interface here for you to send out marketing messages via BookingNinja.
We now believe our marketing emails quality for the GDPR "soft-opt in" which means gold customers longer need to ask permission to send marketing emails to your entire CRM list, as long as you're not selling something completely different. More information on this here.
Custom Enquiry Forms
You can now create multiple enquiry forms, and each form can use the same custom fields that regular bookings can use, allowing you to ask important questions up front and cut down on back and forth communications. You’ll be able to embed these enquiry forms directly on your website, or link to them using the session categories!
QR Code Check In (Gold)
You can now send QR codes directly to your customers for events or regular bookings, and, if you've got a scanner hooked up to your BookingNinja device, you can scan their code to automatically check them in. We support any 2D Scanner, and any mobile phone with a camera can be used as a scanner also.
Feedback Overhaul
We've also fixed up our feedback page, making it easier to see trends, some key stats, and we now link each piece of received feedback to the actual booking that gave it, so no more digging around. Not seeing anything on that page? Make sure to enable feedback in your settings.
In Venue Notifications
You can now send notifications to all customers currently in your venue using SMS or email. This can be helpful for larger events to coax people to certain areas or sales, or even just to give everyone a digital "last orders"
Charge Different to Your Displayed Amount
You can now use the "Charge Percentage" setting in deposit settings to charge a different amount to what your headline ticket price is. This is very helpful if you want to show a £100 ticket price but only charge a 50% "deposit" based on the final amount of guests.
Other Bug Fixes and Small Features:
We've also tabbed out other little bits of the site into boxes so its clearer what and how you can click, especially on mobile devices.
Payment links now report a payment being made straight away
You can now set a maximum amount of tickets purchasable at once, rather than only using the default ten. Keep in in that the more you allow at once, the more we have to hold, even if someone doesn't complete the booking!
Added MXN as a currency
Made it possible to change the gift card currency
We've changed "Make Payment" text on the checkout to something more generic. This is important because if you're only doing a card capture, we don't want it saying "Make Payment"
We've done some more interface on the venue closures page based on feedback and tried to make it clearer what you can change and how.
We've updated the account page to be a bit clearer what plan you're on. If it says "No plan" but you are paying us, it's likely that you have a special deal, please let us know so we can adjust for you!
We've made the per session settings tabbed so it's not so overwhelming and quicker and easier to get to where you need to be without scrolling.
We’ve updated the login page, and added social media login support.
